The Mindfuck Meme

This is not a very nice meme! If you have any major or typical triggers, you're being warned here that you might want to keep fully clear. That said, ever misread 'midfuck meme' with an extra 'n' in it and been sorely disappointed? This one's for you!

1. Post a character! It'd sure be nice if you put their name, canon, and any prefs you might have in the subject line.
2. When other characters tag in, they'll be using ye olde RNG (1-7) to figure out just how they'll be fucking your character's mind.
3. Be royally screwed up and need therapy for decades.

Mindfuck Possibilities:

1. I Own You: It doesn't have to be sexual (though it can be). It doesn't have to be very abusive (though it might be). But you know you own this person and you will break them down until they can accept the truth of it. All that they are—body, mind, and soul—is yours. They should have known that from the beginning. Now they'll know it 'til the end.

2. We're One and the Same: What this other person doesn't get is that you're two sides of the same coin. You practically own each other! No one else will complete them the way you can. You're twins. Brothers from another mother (or was that the same mother?). They won't get away until they acknowledge that to escape is to deny everything they are. Good thing you're ready to help.

3. Nobody Has Ever Loved You (Like I Do): This person doesn't understand how worthless they are—how they've been abandoned on purpose by anyone they ever cared about. The only thing they have left—the one creature that doesn't despise them utterly—is you. And maybe you're about fed up as well and they should grovel at your feet.

4. By Your Bedside ~~(YANDERE)~~: You love them. You love them utterly and how have they betrayed you? Ruthlessly! Talking to others—looking at others. Disgusting. You aren't going to allow it anymore. They need to understand the importance of your love. What's that? Maybe you aren't in a relationship by any… real, official standards? Heh. That can be fixed!

5. You're a Doll, Doll: Some people just don't get it. They think they have rights the same as anyone else. They don't see how they're only a puppet or a pet. Something less than you—less than anything. They belong on a leash or sitting pretty on a shelf. Poor darling! Lucky for them you've taken an interest in setting them straight (or… really gay).

6. Stop Forcing My Hand: It's not your fault you're tying them down! It isn't your fault they need your initials engraved in their skin! They made you. They stared at you with those eyes or they did those awful things (awful being rather subjective)! You wish they could apologize enough for such atrocities. You'd love to let them go. You don't want to do this even if it's possibly getting you off to an excessive extent! You're the victim, all right? Fucker should learn to shut up when they're told to.

7. Creepozoid's Choice!: Pick any of the options above or a 7th sort of mindfuck not explicitly listed. Remember, 7 is always an open option if you'd rather not roll or if you want to mix any series of numbers together.

I hate you... [ She was lying. She wouldn't do this if it was for him; she'd let him leave like he wanted. She at least wouldn't resort to drugging him...

He hates that he can't strike her at all. He hates more that he slumps into her arms and falls unconscious. ]

[He hates her? There's no way he means that--they made a promise that they wouldn't break! Tyr's just not in his right mind at the moment.

When he awakes, he'll find himself in a chair with his right on a table. He's restrained this time, of course. There won't be any more of that garbage about leaving and being alone.

...And yeah, it did take Rita some effort to get him in that chair...]

[ Thankfully, Tyr was asleep for all that fumbling and struggling to get his body into the chair and restrained. The first thing he notices is that he's rather sore, and then realises he can't move - even if he doesn't really want to struggle so much with the way he's tied down.

Rita won't need to wonder when he's awake, though. The second thing he does after waking up twist his head around to look for her. ]

Rita!

[ She's lost it, he thinks. There's no other excuse for doing this, for her obsession under the guise of helping him. ]

Huh? Pipe down, will you? Don't worry, I'm right here. [Her voice comes from right behind the chair. Quite some time has probably passed by now; her ire is all dissipated and she's convinced that he should be in a better mood by now, too.]

I found some more gels while you were asleep. Do you still need any?

[ That's extremely creepy. He tries to turn his head to see her, but...well, she really is behind him. Unlike her, the time did nothing to cool his temper. He hisses at her. ]

I want you to let me go. What do you think you're doing?

[Rita sighs. She can't believe he's still saying that...Oh well, she'll change his mind soon enough.

She comes around the chair to stand a couple feet away from his side where he can now see her--calm and collected.]

Hmm...You must still be pretty groggy. I guess I put more drug in that thing than I thought.

[ Disgusting. He gives her the dirtiest look he's ever given her before. ]

You shouldn't have drugged me in the first place. Is that friendship to you?

[That look--he's starting to aggravate her again. She returns his look with a dark one of her own.]

You think you know friendship?!--You decided to run away and abandon everyone!

[Unspoken is that he was going to abandon her. After she trusted him, thought they'd always be friends, and that's how it was going to end? No...No, she wouldn't let it.]

...You're not leaving me. I'll fix your rune so you won't have to go anywhere.

Rita... [ He mumbles it lowly. He couldn't argue that. Hell, he couldn't argue it even before he came here; this wouldn't be the first time he tried to abandon everyone.

He just thought it would be easier this time.

Ignoring the friendship issue, he asked what was weighing somewhat more heavily on his mind. ] What are you going to do now?

[She takes a breath and sighs. Calm down. His response is interpreted by her as an agreement, an acceptance--as it should be--and the dark expression disappears from her face.]

I think I've been going about this the wrong way. Studying its spells, using blastia to block it on the exterior--those obviously aren't working out. What I need to do is properly study the rune itself, inside and out. That's the only way I can do this precisely. As long as I do that, I can come up with something more efficient.

[Which might just be why his right hand is strapped to a clean, metal table and why there are various implements on a nearby tray. Some of them just happen to be sharp, too.]

[ He doesn't understand. He just stares at her in confusion. How could she study it from the inside and out.

Eventually, he glances over the cool surface his right hand is laying on. She's too calm to actually mean... He looks back up at her with narrowed eyes. ] It's just a rune, Rita... You aren't really...

[ Please laugh at him and tell him he has no reason to be scared. ]

[She's still calm and casual about this, as if she's talking about reading a book and not seriously considering cutting open his hand.

She rests her chin in her hand a moment and mumbles aloud-] I've never really worked with a person before...Where should I start...?

You don't start! [ Panic time. He tries to pull his hand from the restrain without struggling enough to move the chair - yes, Tyr did not want to dislocate anything if the strap was very good. ] If you wouldn't do it to yourself, don't do it to me, Rita.

[ Please understand pain, Rita. ]

I need to get a sample from it somehow, you know. [Luckily--or is it?--for Tyr, Rita at least recognizes the fear and sort of understands his reasons for it.

But that's not enough to make her quit.] Hmm...Maybe I should knock you out again while I do this.

No! [ He snaps at her. He's just afraid of her now. ] That won't work. All you're going to sample is my own flesh.

[ Well, he thinks. He's not about to see if that's a fact. ]

You're probably never tried this before, right? It'll be fine. I'll start small. [She nods satisfactorily to herself. Yes, a small sample where the rune is situated ought to be a good start.

Rita moves close to his restrained hand and starts going over her tools.]

No! [ Maybe he should have taken the option to be knocked out, but that felt cowardly somehow. He keeps trying to pull his hands out, but it only manages to make the restrain scrape against his skin. She's way too close to those tools now. ] Don't even try! I don't want you to help me if it means this.

Don't be such a baby! This one's only going to hurt for a second, okay? [At least she meant it when she said a 'small sample'. For now, she selects an implement with a tiny, needle-thin point. With it held in her steady hand, she leans over the rune.]

[ He tried to keep himself as still as possible while she was over him. It wouldn't be as bad as the formulas or the last few times he was attacked. He just had to stay still, look away, and wait for her to get her damn sample.

Of course, that's what Tyr was doing. That didn't stop the rune from fire a warning shot in Rita's direction. ]

[A little resistance isn't entirely unexpected, but as for whether she believes it's the rune's fault alone...

Rita's hand slips and buries the sharp point in Tyr's wrist instead.]

Can't you keep that thing under control for a second?

[ Tyr gasps out in pain - he wasn't expecting that at all. ]

Wa, watch what you're doing! And you're the one attacking it! What am I going to do while I'm pinned down?

Sorry, I tripped.

[Her voice is decidedly flippant and not very apologetic, though, while she removes the needle from his skin. Still, Tyr does have a point--and either way, she can't work on it like that.]

I'll have to do something about it...

[Setting her tool down, Rita retrieves something else from a desk somewhere behind Tyr: the blastia that she had given him earlier. She starts making some adjustments to the formula and, after a moment's consideration, cranks up the input from Tyr's life force before she clasps it in place around Tyr's wrist.

She can't go getting her soul sucked out while she's working on it, after all. Where would Tyr be without her?]

[ He can't believe she just said it like that, like she didn't just stab him in the wrist. He gives her a look before she walks away, wondering how he could have gotten himself into any of this.

When she returns with the blastia, though, he can feel his stomach knot already, and when it's clamped down around his wrist, he has good reason. He clenches his teeth and takes a deep breath. He won't get sick, he won't. With the way she's acting now, he doesn't think she'd particularly care if he did. ]

Just make this quick...

[ Or he still has the fire rune hidden on his left hand. It's nowhere near as strong, which is exactly why he wouldn't hesitate too much to use it. ]

Don't be such a worrywart. You trusted me with this, so I'll make sure it gets done.

[Rita gives him a couple seconds to adjust--she understands it's a little uncomfortable, of course, as much as he needs it--and then she's picked up her needle, cleaned it off, and leans down towards his hand again.

She goes carefully in case of another surprise, but quickly pierces the outer layer of skin beneath the rune.]

[ He forces himself to breath evenly, but his breath still catches when he feels the needle move beneath his skin. He can't say why that hurts more than his wrist, if the rune really was alive, or if it was the blastia making him more ill. Tears welled in his eyes again - when he did he start crying so easily or freaking out so easily?

His heart races painfully, and after a moment, he prompts her. ] Are you done?
