The Mindfuck Meme

This is not a very nice meme! If you have any major or typical triggers, you're being warned here that you might want to keep fully clear. That said, ever misread 'midfuck meme' with an extra 'n' in it and been sorely disappointed? This one's for you!

1. Post a character! It'd sure be nice if you put their name, canon, and any prefs you might have in the subject line.
2. When other characters tag in, they'll be using ye olde RNG (1-7) to figure out just how they'll be fucking your character's mind.
3. Be royally screwed up and need therapy for decades.

Mindfuck Possibilities:

1. I Own You: It doesn't have to be sexual (though it can be). It doesn't have to be very abusive (though it might be). But you know you own this person and you will break them down until they can accept the truth of it. All that they are—body, mind, and soul—is yours. They should have known that from the beginning. Now they'll know it 'til the end.

2. We're One and the Same: What this other person doesn't get is that you're two sides of the same coin. You practically own each other! No one else will complete them the way you can. You're twins. Brothers from another mother (or was that the same mother?). They won't get away until they acknowledge that to escape is to deny everything they are. Good thing you're ready to help.

3. Nobody Has Ever Loved You (Like I Do): This person doesn't understand how worthless they are—how they've been abandoned on purpose by anyone they ever cared about. The only thing they have left—the one creature that doesn't despise them utterly—is you. And maybe you're about fed up as well and they should grovel at your feet.

4. By Your Bedside (YANDERE): You love them. You love them utterly and how have they betrayed you? Ruthlessly! Talking to others—looking at others. Disgusting. You aren't going to allow it anymore. They need to understand the importance of your love. What's that? Maybe you aren't in a relationship by any… real, official standards? Heh. That can be fixed!

5. You're a Doll, Doll: Some people just don't get it. They think they have rights the same as anyone else. They don't see how they're only a puppet or a pet. Something less than you—less than anything. They belong on a leash or sitting pretty on a shelf. Poor darling! Lucky for them you've taken an interest in setting them straight (or… really gay).

6. Stop Forcing My Hand: It's not your fault you're tying them down! It isn't your fault they need your initials engraved in their skin! They made you. They stared at you with those eyes or they did those awful things (awful being rather subjective)! You wish they could apologize enough for such atrocities. You'd love to let them go. You don't want to do this even if it's possibly getting you off to an excessive extent! You're the victim, all right? Fucker should learn to shut up when they're told to.

7. Creepozoid's Choice!: Pick any of the options above or a 7th sort of mindfuck not explicitly listed. Remember, 7 is always an open option if you'd rather not roll or if you want to mix any series of numbers together.

[Hearing the pleading, her irritation starts pricking at her again, and any warmth in her voice departs.]

You know I can't just stop now. Don't be so weak; it'll be over soon as long as you keep still.

I'm not weak... [ That's all he says, breathlessly. He believes that as much he believes he'll be saved. She'll take her measurements. Then, in the best case, she'll disfigure him. ]

[blastiafreak]

You're not doing much to prove it, you know. But I guess this'll do. [Her tone indicates that it's barely, if at all, satisfactory. The probe remains buried in his hand a while longer during the readings. Once it's done, Rita swiftly pulls it out, leaving yet another trail of fresh blood dripping across his hand and the floor.]

[stargathering]

Go to hell. [ And his tone is for him not caring if she doesn't believe him. He knows if he's still here now, he's strong.

Especially when he feels the hot drops of bloods hit his hand and fall on the floor. How much blood is he losing? Did she hit artery? ]

[It's a short phrase, but one that makes dark anger flash across her face again. Why does he keep fighting her?]

That's where you're going to end up if you don't stop being such a pathetic coward. Are you even capable of controlling yourself? [She stares him down and does nothing to staunch the light flow of blood. It's nowhere near as serious as his other hand, anyway, so Rita doubts it's much to worry about.]

Ah! Sleep well! ♥

[stargathering]

[ He can almost feel her looking at him. He feels a little satisfaction at her anger, that he can still hurt her.

--but he remembers that she'll only be more violent with him. She'd probably lop off both arms if he keeps pushing her. He wants to tell her she's the one losing her control. Instead-- ]

...Sorry. I'm just feeling dizzy.

[ And I still hope you go to hell. ]

Oh...I guess all these experiments are tough on you. [It's a vague statement, not at all heartfelt, while she appraises him critically for a moment.

...Then her expression softens again, and this time she speaks more sincerely--almost gently.] It's probably the effects of the blastia. Do you want me to reduce the power for a little while?

[ He actually opens his eyes and looks over to her when she says that (not going to look at that hand, though). So she hasn't completely lost it? She sounds almost compassionate.

He nods in response. As much has he wants to ask her to remove it entirely, he knows that won't happen. ] Yeah... What sort of power is it using to do this?

All right. I'm done working on the rune for now, so this guy doesn't have to be working so hard.

[She offers a smile, too. And then, as casually as if she were describing the weather-] I've set up the formula to feed on your life force.

[stargathering]

What? [ His eyes widen. Tyr is sure he heard that wrong, even if the rest seemed to be clear. She couldn't have really said something like that so casually. It wasn't possible. ]

[blastiafreak]

[Rita, still casual, repeats it loud and clear for his benefit.] I said, he's running on your life force. That's why you feel weak and dizzy.

[stargathering]

[ That's not right. That's not right.

There went any thought he had that she might be herself again. He fights with himself to keep from snapping at her angrily, and manages to sound only harsh and scolding. ]

Why would you do that?!

[ Are you really trying to kill me?! ]

[She doesn't get why he's so surprised or angry about it. She said by any means necessary, after all.]

Why do you think? That's been the most efficient way to control the rune so far.

[stargathering]

But it's my life... [ He should know there's no use in arguing with her, but he can't get over this realisation that she's been killing him slowly and painfully - and, looking back, making him do it himself. ]

[blastiafreak]

Yeah, that's right. [She's back to calm and casual now, as she usually is when explaining their procedures. It's like nothing has really changed from Rita's perspective.] I thought feeding some of your own life force into the rune when it tries to absorb a soul would help keep it from absorbing as much of someone else's life force. And it seems to work pretty well--or it would, anyway, if you could actually handle the effects.

[stargathering]

[ That would be a jab to his ego if not for how terrible he feels and how much he loves his own life. He manages to keep his voice steady and serious. ] I only have so much of a life, too, you know... It might have worked as a short term solution, but something like this could kill me.

[blastiafreak]

[She won't deny that it could kill him. Rita's fully aware that it's a possible risk, just one she isn't wholly concerned about.] It could kill you at any time, but the risk is pretty small. I don't think it'll come to that. Besides, I would've made adjustments so it wouldn't absorb too much of your life.

[stargathering]

It's still a possibility... [ "Pretty small" didn't even register for him. he focused on the part where she said it could kill him at any time. ] I thought the point of helping me was so no-one would have to die.

And I thought you would've had enough brains to know you'd need to take a little risk. You're not seriously that naïve, are you?

[stargathering]

This isn't a risk I'm willing to take... [ He says nothing about being naïve. Maybe he still was after all this time. ] Why are you willing to?

[blastiafreak]

Hmph. You're sure picky about it, you know. Are there any risks you're willing to take? [Disapproval of his attitude is creeping up on her again. To Rita, going this far should've been expected.] I'm willing to do it because unlike you, I don't give up that easily.

[stargathering]

You're willing to do it because it's not your body you're abusing. [ He hisses, forgetting his act for a second, but he tries to pick it back up. ] I'm not picky. I just don't want to die myself because of this Rune...

[blastiafreak]

I'm not the one with a soul-sucking parasite stuck to my hand, either. [She snaps right back, then sighs and finally moves to adjust the blastia.] I told you, it's unlikely, so stop thinking you're going to die.

[stargathering]

[ He breathes a small sigh of relief when she starts adjusting the blastia. Swallowing a lump in his throat, he admits: ]

I feel like I'm going to die now, though...

[ He'd rather have the "parasite" than die a painful death. ]

[A quick play of her hands on the blastia's control panel, and the adjustments are soon finished. Rita sighs and shrugs.]
