The Mindfuck Meme

This is not a very nice meme! If you have any major or typical triggers, you're being warned here that you might want to keep fully clear. That said, ever misread 'midfuck meme' with an extra 'n' in it and been sorely disappointed? This one's for you!

1. Post a character! It'd sure be nice if you put their name, canon, and any prefs you might have in the subject line.
2. When other characters tag in, they'll be using ye olde RNG (1-7) to figure out just how they'll be fucking your character's mind.
3. Be royally screwed up and need therapy for decades.

Mindfuck Possibilities:

1. I Own You: It doesn't have to be sexual (though it can be). It doesn't have to be very abusive (though it might be). But you know you own this person and you will break them down until they can accept the truth of it. All that they are—body, mind, and soul—is yours. They should have known that from the beginning. Now they'll know it 'til the end.

2. We're One and the Same: What this other person doesn't get is that you're two sides of the same coin. You practically own each other! No one else will complete them the way you can. You're twins. Brothers from another mother (or was that the same mother?). They won't get away until they acknowledge that to escape is to deny everything they are. Good thing you're ready to help.

3. Nobody Has Ever Loved You (Like I Do): This person doesn't understand how worthless they are—how they've been abandoned on purpose by anyone they ever cared about. The only thing they have left—the one creature that doesn't despise them utterly—is you. And maybe you're about fed up as well and they should grovel at your feet.

4. By Your Bedside (YANDERE): You love them. You love them utterly and how have they betrayed you? Ruthlessly! Talking to others—looking at others. Disgusting. You aren't going to allow it anymore. They need to understand the importance of your love. What's that? Maybe you aren't in a relationship by any… real, official standards? Heh. That can be fixed!

5. You're a Doll, Doll: Some people just don't get it. They think they have rights the same as anyone else. They don't see how they're only a puppet or a pet. Something less than you—less than anything. They belong on a leash or sitting pretty on a shelf. Poor darling! Lucky for them you've taken an interest in setting them straight (or… really gay).

6. Stop Forcing My Hand: It's not your fault you're tying them down! It isn't your fault they need your initials engraved in their skin! They made you. They stared at you with those eyes or they did those awful things (awful being rather subjective)! You wish they could apologize enough for such atrocities. You'd love to let them go. You don't want to do this even if it's possibly getting you off to an excessive extent! You're the victim, all right? Fucker should learn to shut up when they're told to.

7. Creepozoid's Choice!: Pick any of the options above or a 7th sort of mindfuck not explicitly listed. Remember, 7 is always an open option if you'd rather not roll or if you want to mix any series of numbers together.

[ He forces himself to breath evenly, but his breath still catches when he feels the needle move beneath his skin. He can't say why that hurts more than his wrist, if the rune really was alive, or if it was the blastia making him more ill. Tears welled in his eyes again - when he did he start crying so easily or freaking out so easily?

His heart races painfully, and after a moment, he prompts her. ] Are you done?

So beautifully creepy ///

Give it a moment, would you?

[She swears he's acting like she's slicing the entire rune from his hand (which might not be a bad idea, really), but she holds the needle in place for a few seconds, grabs another implement to use alongside it, and in no time at all has removed a tiny portion of Tyr's flesh.]

There. I have the sample...

[But there's an edge to her voice, one of curiosity and intrigue. She has the rune right in front of her and she's already prepared. Why not examine a little further?]

It iiiis ;o; I don't want it to ever end!

[ It hurt and makes him feel more sick than the blastia alone does. He feels like he's about to vomit, but doesn't. He steadies himself in his head, coming off of the nausea.

There's something strange about the tone of her voice. It's bothersome in some way, but he shoves the thought aside. ]

You have it... Can you let me go now?

[Rita looks up from his hand and right at him with a slightly disbelieving look, like the answer to that question is obvious.]

You're kidding, right? I can't let you go anywhere like this, not with the rune still free. You might decide to do something stupid again.

[Like running away. She taps her hand on her tray of tools, perhaps deciding what she wants to do next.]

time to make this post explode!

[ --Was she really looking at his hand instead of his hand that time? ]

So you're going to keep me restrained in this chair for the next few hours? Days?

[ ...He might be a little hopeful with that, though. He doesn't want her to touch that tray anymore. ]

And heat things up?!

It'll be days at least, or maybe even weeks. I have to study it thoroughly and develop a successful countermeasure, you know.

[She says it casually, like he's a houseguest. If he's lucky, she'll even remember to feed him once a day.]

I'll take a look at that sample later. Right now, I want to see more about this rune...

[ He looks at her like she's just gone nuts - which, in his mind, she inarguably has. His head is still wrapping around how casual and serious she's being, like she really means to keep him tied to a chair. ]

You can't just keep me tied here for weeks! [ Gremio will cut her to pieces. ] That's too much!

Just-- Look at the sample and leave me alone.

[Rita huffs at him like always. This is just another one of their usual arguments.]

What else were you expecting? I can't just let you go.

I can't stay here, Rita. I need to see Gremio. And Katara. And everyone else. They're going to worry about me if they don't see me.

[ If this was a usual argument, he wouldn't answer so evenly. ]

... Not to mention being here makes me feel sick.

It's fine. This place is pretty well hidden, so they won't come bugging you.

[Because that's obviously what his concern is, right? Rtia's going to make sure they can study and work in peace.]

I've even got a fake portrait I can put in that hall, so everyone'll just think you've gone home. Now that's genius!

[Her smugness over her plan is clear. Rita will have Tyr all to herself for the duration of their experiments-

Maybe even longer. Maybe as long as she wants.]

[ Tyr stares at her in disgust and horror. ]

You can't be serious... You can't do that!

[ Dread floods over him. She'd really do it at this point, wouldn't she? ]

What's the point of trying to control the rune if I'm going to be trapped in a sunless room forever?! Don't be an idiot!

[As with almost everything else, Tyr's real point completely misses Rita. Sunlight seems like a pretty word concern to someone who was living in an underground city for years, but she can accomodate if that's what he really wants.]

Sunless? I guess I can open a window or something.

[She doesn't dispute that he'll be there forever, though.]

[stargathering]

Don't play dumb! [ He snaps at her. She can't be this dumb. It's not possible. ] I won't forgive you don't let me go.

If you think that's going to convince me, you're the one playing dumb. I know you'll thank me for this later.

There's no point to this if I'm going to be alone... I have nothing to thank you for.

And this is how you're treating me! [ He tries to move himself just as a show. ]

Exactly. It's for your own benefit, so stop complaining.

[With that, she glances away and starts considering her tools again. It's kind of difficult with the rune on his hand like that. She's not a biologist or anatomy expert...]

[ Screw you, Rita. Tyr begins muttering under his breath, certain she wouldn't get this any other way. ]

[Rita's ignoring his "grumbling" now, too focused on what she should do next. Tyr gets the benefit of hearing her think out loud.]

I guess it's too early to try cutting the rune right out...But maybe I should see what effect separating it might have.

[Her hand drifts over the tray and selects a scalpel, its blade glinting wickedly.]

[stargathering]

[ He visibly shudders at the thought. The thought of her cutting into his skin to the bone - or deeper? - just encourages him to finish this spell. ]

Fire storm.

[ Hope Rita can avoid those fire dragons springing out of Tyr's left hand that she forgot to take care of. ]

...! [She immediately jumps back, avoiding one, but the rest of the spell connects. Her magic guard can't entirely block the raging fire from searing her. Once the flames pass, she's a little worse for wear, though still standing.

And the glare she levels in Tyr's direction is almost murderous.]

Just what the hell do you think you're doing?

[stargathering]

[ He has a somewhat smug look on his face, the corners of his lips turned up. Part of his chest aches at seeing her burnt - and wouldn't burning this place be like that nightmare? - but he thinks she must have gotten the message. Hopefully he won't have to hurt her again. ]

It's payback.

[blastiafreak]

You--After everything I've done for you, this is how you thank me?

[Some of the burns sting--dammit, she should have never given him that gel--and the power was nothing to scoff at, but she's not about to be taken down from a single spell. Anger and outright hostility blaze in her eyes while her voice takes on a dangerous edge.]

You want payback? I'll show you payback.

[The small, delicate tools on her tray are no good. Rita strides over to another desk and comes up with a larger knife before she starts approaching him again.

Removing the rune doesn't seem like a bad idea. But she'll have to start with the other one to stop him from being an idiot and using it against her again.]

[ His eyes widen in horror. She wouldn't really. He wants to think she really wouldn't kill him or dismember him. He quickly begins another spell. He doesn't care that much if he hurts her if it means she won't kill him. ]
