[ He wasn't sleeping, but the only thing that moved where his lips. He doesn't look at the girl and keeps his head bowed. ]

I'm practicing.

[ No way is Parsee going to be quiet when he only tells her that much. ]

Practicing what?

[ But she'll break his concentration! But maybe he should take a break for now, and looks up to her, though he doesn't dismount the broom. She has pointed ears! He didn't know there were elves around here. ]

I'm practicing how to fly. I almost got it.

From:

'Almost got it'? You didn't look like you were going anywhere.

[ But now she's thinking that he's just some kid who wants to fly but can't. She's got a cheery elf face going, which brightens some. ]

Do you even know how to fly?

[ Silly human Parsee bets you don't know how to fly what a fool. ]

[ He nods brightly. Why wouldn't he? She has such a happy face on, she must be joking! ]

Yes! Master Estella taught me how to.

[ He looked down for a moment then. ]

I haven't mastered the technique just yet, though...

[ Because he could just be some dumb boy he decided he wanted to fly and this was his way of learning to do it. ]

You musn't be a very good student. They're not even here to help you.

[ Unless they flied off and left him. He's lucky to get someone helping him and he looks so bad at it... ]

[ That's not every nice, Parsee. ]

Practicing on your own is important. I know everything I need to so I can fly on my own, so Master Estella doesn't need to be here. She teaches me everything she knows to help me improve my magic, but I need to practice more to be as great a magician as she is!

[ What u gonna do about it, kid, especially after saying that. He looks like nothing to Parsee, sitting there on that broom trying to fly-- and he knows how to use magic? ]

[ And watch as this one you think an elf suddenly lifts off from the ground with much more ease than yourself. That wicked smile is still on her face, a red pentagram appears with her in the center of it. ~~i think they're called a pentagram idk.~~ ]

Though she's already being a bully on a fourteen year old boy, Parsee's in disbelief still of this kid knowing anything and she'll go for a low, easy danmaku spell on him. Blahblah are we going to be descriptive, it's in that video. Oh but basically it's a slow spell with small bullets that go out in a circular motion and also inwards. ]

[ That's so cool!! He wonders how she does it, but he knows she doesn't mean to say "Show me how you cast 'Set!'." He dismounts his broom and takes a few steps back. ]

I- I'm not a great magician yet! Master Estella is! I can't use magic yet.

[ He doesn't recognise the spell she's using - it must be a special rune! - but despite seeing it coming, he just stands there. At least his wall rune raises his defense, but it still hurts. ]

[ lolol this is so mean. She would think he's mocking her by standing there if he didn't seem to be hurt by it, but she lets the danmaku casted go without casting more. For now-- she's got pretty excited now. ]

Have you been lying to me?

[ Oh good, she's not attacking now. What a relief. He looks a bit uncomfortable, though. ]

No. I'm just an apprentice. I'm supposed to save my magic for Master Estella.

Even when your own life is in danger?

[ That pentagram still going around her wouldn't help to ease any spirits either. ]

[ It sure doesn't look like a happy pentagram. He looks up to her with a bit of surprise and fear. ]

[ Nods ] My wall rune is supposed to help protect me...

[ Supposed to protect him, he says~? ]

You can't even dodge my weakest danmaku. Are you really going to rely on that?

I don't have a choice...

[ Maybe he shouldn't have decided to practice where monsters wander around, too. ]

[ Estella's butt is a monster. His trust on the item- whatever it is- makes Parsee annoyed when it seemed so useless from her point of view. ]

Hmph... What a foolish human. In that case...

[ The blue aura returns around her from before. His fearful look won't stop her--he should be fearful against her. Atleast he wasn't that stupid. ]

Let's see how long it takes for me to crumble that wall!

[ And brace yourself for the bulletspam, Rody. Oh dear. Lucky for him is that she won't use any spellcards on him but that low level spell. Unlucky for him is that she's still a meaniepoo youkai who attacks people for the smallest of reasons. You have twenty-five/thirty seconds until she stops. Feel free to not last that long/SUDDENLY BEAT THE CURSE OF THE WALL RUNE. ]

[ Oh Bristol oh bristol oh bristol oh bristol. He doesn't even bother responding, but can only defend against the bullet rain. Ow, ow. The wall helps reduce the damage he takes, but does nothing more. Maybe he should remove the wall rune when he isn't going to have Estella around.

Can she hear that whimpering over the danmaku? ]

[ His whimpers aren't unheard, but it has the opposite affect on her. It's his own fault that she won't stop, his own naïvety that keeps her going-- pure and simple, she wants to punish him for it.

Some would have stopped already, but not her. That he doesn't give in just makes her increasingly angry. Her anger feeding on itself, she won't stop unless she's stopped or until he collapses. ]

[ Pure and simple and naïve is the best way to describe Rody if there was one. The Flame Champion may have wanted men to fight, but Rody was no fighter with those runes and without Estella.

Despite that, he clutches his broom and tries to concentrate and chant a spell, despite the action being set to fail. ]

[ ~~lol of course she'll stop if she stops.~~ It didn't sound like the chant of a spell to the youkai oblivious to such a way of attacking. Instead it sounded like his attempt to run away-- by flying.

A new emotion arose from hearing those chants mixed with the sound of her bullets: disgust. He just won't give up on the idea that he could do anything like any other stupid human. Stupid, stupid, not even using his own two legs. She was so...

Thirty seconds were over. The attacks cease despite the aura that still surrounds her. She's watching Rody from where she is, a pitiful smile on her face. How is he. ]

[ It was over? He couldn't believe it. Maybe it actually worked! He was slumped over his broom, griping it for support, and looked up. It hadn't worked...

He was exhausted from taking the attacks that assaulted him. Was she really done? That smile on her face... It had stopped for now, though, and he took the food he had from his bag. This should make him feel better! He felt stronger already!

Except for the poison that the pickles delivered to his body... ]

[ He didn't get the chance to respond before he was clutching his broom for support again. The bullets hurt. The poison hurt. He could feel bruises forming across his skin, but he was going to stand there. Wait it out, like he did when he protected Estella.

Until his knees grew weak and he crumbled with his broom in his arms. ]

[ Sheena even got the bath before him. It's why Tyr is cosy now. ]

Yeah... It's not normally this bad, but... it's a small downside.

[ and he'll be plopping himself onto his bed. ]

[ lots of people is kinda nice! Tyr kicks his feet at the edge of the bed. ]

Gremio wasn't here for a while... And it only really started to get crowded in here after Jowy moved in; we each had our own rooms before that.

[ Tyr almost laughs; it comes out as a little hum in his throat. Jowy really is settling in, then... ]

Are you disappointed that you got stuck with me for the night?

[ A small smile tugs at the corners of Tyr's lips. Yeah, months. Tyr could still remember the times they had to share a bed when there were too few at an inn and Tyr and Sheena just happened to be the only two capable of staying in the same bed. ]

Yeah... I guess not. I'm glad you didn't become unaccustomed to this already, though. You haven't had to share any beds lately, have you?
