Character Name: Z Block.
Character Series: Tetris.
Character Age: 27.
Background: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetris#History
Tetris has had a long and complicated history, coming from Russia in the time that anything and everything belonged to everyone (note: the Government). So while these handsome blocks were made by the technical hands of Alexey Pajitnov, then were loved in a most scandalous way by the caressing hands of the USSR when they became so popular to the world. So many people wanted the rights of these mature and firm blocks, though not everyone knew about their struggles. To most people, specifically in 1989, the Tetris blocks were just known as 'that game on the Gameboy'.
Yes, for, you see, Tetris has had many homes. Not only on the game, but also on the Atari, the NES. They can even be found in an MS-DOS version! They get around, just another part of their daily lives. But, you know, Tetris blocks, also called 'Tetrominoes', are used to changes in their lives, given that the way they live (this can be see on Youtube for more information).
Personality: The Z-block is considered one of the more unloved Tetrominoes. With its ridge edges and a personality that doesn't always fit in with other blocks, it doesn't have the most happiest outlook in life. Really, though it can't stay away from others - by itself, Z Block can only be destructive, either making a mess around itself or continuously piling up on itself until the weight of itself crashes down on itself (known as a game over to us). This is because Z Block just doesn't know how to function by itself, even though it tries to act like it's perfectly fine by itself.
But maybe I'm rushing ahead of myself here, so let's go to the more basic part of Z Block's personality other than its co-dependent nature. Z Block is just someone who wants to fit in in life, but has a hard time doing so because of its shape. It's because of this that can easily become envious of others who have more of a fun and easy time, even if its only assuming this about others. Such as with l blocks and with O Blocks, whose natural shapes can either fit in or without others. It's these kind of tetrominoes that Z Block can't stand, but only out of pettiness.
Z Block is also a little shy because of this. It doesn't know how to interact with others well and even feels embarrassed when it does feel like it can work well with another. It wants to make friends, but has a hard time believing it really can or that the other wants it to be there. It's this reason why that it likes more to give off the impression that it doesn't care, that it comes and goes as it pleases. It's easier that way for it.
Abilities: Z Block has the power to make gaps in structures and to spin around from the air.
Sample Entry: Please write as if you've already been accepted and writing an ordinary post from your character during their stay in Mayfield. Using an "introduction" post is fine, but we tend to discourage it, as the typical "who am I where am I what is this crazy place" format doesn't really give us a good grasp of how your character will behave on a daily basis. If you have trouble writing sample posts, we allow links to museboxes or other RPs to demonstrate as a sample. However, you'll want to post with the account you'll be linking to in that situation. Please make sure that your app is written in first person (!!!), as that's the format that will be used in the roleplay. Generally, we want to see at least five sentences, if not more. Prose log style samples will not be accepted. If you're confused about the distinction, we will be happy to explain.
