Even though Tir looked away from him, his other self stared at his face as though searching for an answer there, trying to find some sign of injury or pain that his soft voice seemed to indicate.
He didn't find anything, and he knew himself better than to make something like that obvious. Hadn't he been hiding his own pain for the past few weeks with nearly no-one being the wiser?
Somehow, though, knowing that ad this situation seem all the worse. He wouldn't push it for "their" sake, but...
When that hand brushed against his and left again, Tyr didn't miss it. Or that little blush in the unusually bright moonlight. At another time, he would have been amused, but now... He inched his hand back over Tir's fingers.
